Comedies open tomorrow – $12!

Two of the funniest one-act plays ever written are playing back-to-back at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury this week!

Black Comedy is an epic farce of schemes, misidentification, near collisions, confusion and chaos which is triggered by a power failure in a London apartment. The audience sees everything that is going on while the players stumble around in the impenetrable darkness.

The Real Inspector Hound is a dazzling take-off on classic English murder mysteries. Two critics watch and comment on the play in progress, happily aloof until they get mysteriously drawn into themselves. Soon camp comedy turns into a deadly game!

Peter Shaffer’s Black Comedy and Tom Stoppard’s The Real Inspector Hound will play at the Town Hall Theater, Middlebury, Vermont from February 11 to 14. Thursday through Saturday shows are at 8:00, with a 2:00 matinee on Valentine’s Day, Sunday the 14th. Tickets are $17 — with a special price of only $12 for Opening Night on Thursday, February 11.
