June 15 – Van Vleck Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life for David (“Doc”/Dave) and Eunice (Eunie) Van Vleck will be held at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury on Saturday, June 15, from 1-5 p.m. Please stop by any time during the afternoon and join the family for memories, munchies and beverages, mingling, laughter, and a photo essay of these two lovely people, who were married for 68 years!

Prior to the Celebration of Life, there will be a memorial service at Mead Chapel at noon on June 15.

Eunice and Doc were long-time Players. Eunie acted in many productions, among them Oh, Kay (1972), Oliver! (1975), Fiddler on the Roof (1976), Sugar (1978), A Little Night Music (1980), and No Exit (1981). In 1981, the Players held a celebration dedicated to Eunie at the Dog Team Tavern, and in 2010, she was honored as an MCP Life Member, along with several other MCP Founders, as part of MCP’s 50th anniversary. Eunie served on the MCP Board for many years, some of them as president. Dave also appeared in several productions, most notably (perhaps) in High Button Shoes (1973), in which he wore a gorilla suit; one night the cast went out to the Alibi for drinks and he wore the suit!

We hope you are able to honor Dave and Eunie by coming to the Celebration of Life on June 15th. Come, share stories with the family, and enjoy watching the photo essay on the screen.
