Playwriting Seminar with Doug Anderson

Spring, 2016 leading to production in November, 2016

Building on the success of Town Hall Theater’s recent evening of new, locally-written plays, Doug Anderson is offering to work with writers interested in developing new plays. One or two sessions will be devoted to theories and approaches to the art of writing for the stage. After that, everyone will begin writing and sharing their work on a regular basis. The best plays will be selected for production on the THT stage in November under Doug’s direction. Doug Anderson’s writing career includes award-winning plays, stints as visiting playwright at Middlebury and Amherst Colleges, and work for the Children’s Television Workshop, the ASCAP New Musicals workshop, and the CBS daytime drama The Guiding Light.

2-5 writers will be accepted into the program.
First meeting in early January. Regular meetings begin the first week of February.
We’ll meet at times that are convenient for everyone, to be decided.
Fee: $125
