We want to make our members aware of a very special event this weekend, two performances by an award-winning Shakespearean actress and scholar. Tina Packer will both analyze and recreate Shakespeare’s most famous female characters in her funny and riveting show “Women of Will,” along with costar Nigel Gore. Part 1, “Force and Heat: The Early Plays” is on Saturday, February 20, at 8:00. Part 2, “Chaos and Redemption: The Later Plays” is on Sunday, February 21, at 7:00.

These performances are a rare opportunity to see Shakespeare interpreted by an superb artist with an intimate understanding of the roles that comes from a lifetime of studying Shakespeare and his texts.

Both shows are at Wright Theater, 96 Chateau Road, on the Middlebury College campus. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the theater, accessible on Shannon Street, with handicap-accessible parking available on Chateau Road.

Tickets are $20 for the general public; $15 for Middlebury College faculty, staff, alumni, emeriti, and other ID card holders; and $6 for Middlebury College students. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call (802) 443-MIDD (6433) or go to
